Board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Gerard Begley is grateful to be selected by his colleagues as a New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist several times. Working with restorative dentists and specialists who trust in his expertise, Dr. Begley strives to consistently exceed patient expectations. He shares his recognition with a talented longtime staff, who are equally dedicated to creating a positive experience for every patient.
Known for combining function and aesthetics to achieve long-term results, Dr. Begley performs everything from routine wisdom tooth extraction to complete maxillofacial surgical procedures. While many practitioners provide the All-on-Four implant approach, Dr. Begley is one of the few surgeons in New Jersey who is able to offer Zygomatic implants for those unfortunate patients who are not candidates for the All-on-Four technique. Patients can rely on his meticulous work ethic and his commitment to one-on-one personal attention. He says, “We take the extra time to explain procedures to patients and families so they understand how treatment decisions will positively impact their lives.”
Devoted to his field, Dr. Begley has held numerous leadership positions throughout his 25 years in practice. He currently serves as Chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Morristown Medical Center, where he cares for patients with cleft palate, congenital anomalies and traumatic injury. He is also a former vice chairman of Morristown Medical Center’s department of dentistry and a former president of the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Begley completed his residency at Temple University Health Sciences Center, where he remains on staff as an assistant visiting professor. Dr. Begley also stays up-to-date with continuing education through Spear Study Club and regularly attends courses and seminars throughout the year sponsored by AAOMS.
